The Manor Barn: Rustic Charm Done Right

This was our first time filming and photographing a wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, and let’s just say, we were utterly charmed. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty (or at least, like the very important videographers and photographers that we are).

The venue itself is simply stunning. Imagine beautifully restored barns, sprawling gardens perfect for capturing those golden hour photos, and a team that goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. Pre-Wedding Shenanigans and a Rustic Ceremony

The wedding day was a whirlwind of activity, kicking off with a morning of pre-wedding fun. The groomsmen, clearly experts in the art of relaxation, took over the Honeymoon Suite (we can only imagine the shenanigans that ensued!), while the bridal party transformed the boudoir suite into a haven of hairspray and laughter.

The ceremony itself, held in the rustic Rickety Barn (don’t worry, the floorboards held up!), was a beautiful affair. Tears were shed, vows were exchanged, and two heartfelt readings by Angela and Cheryl set the tone for a day filled with emotion.

 

 

Reception Revelry: Crazy Golf, Caricatures, and Competitive Crooners

But the real party started at the reception. Picture this: guests putting their (sometimes questionable) golfing skills to the test on a crazy golf course, while others opted for a more artistic approach, posing for caricatures that will undoubtedly become cherished family heirlooms (or maybe hidden away in the attic).

And the entertainment didn’t stop there. Two incredibly talented singers, Lawrence Hill (@lawrencehillmusic) and Cara Beard (@carabeardmusic), serenaded the crowd and later led a surprisingly competitive game of musical bingo (who knew grandma had such a knack for identifying 80s pop hits?).

And because no wedding is complete without a touch of nostalgia, a vintage VW photo booth (@the.photobay) provided endless opportunities for silly poses and photo strip memories.

Sunset Romance and a Sparkling Finale

As the day drew to a close, we whisked the happy couple away for a romantic sunset photoshoot, capturing those golden hour moments against the stunning backdrop of Bassmead Manor Barns. The grand finale? A sparkler send-off that lit up the night sky and left everyone feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
