Weddings at Creeksea

Creeksea Place is located near Burnham on Crouch in Essex. Built in 1569 the estate still holds many original features both inside and out. The stunning walled garden and untouched orchard is where the BBC’s adaption of Great Expectations was filmed.

Built by Sir Arthur Harris, his original building consisted of four wings surrounded by a courtyard, However, in about 1740 the south part of the house and enclosing walls were sadly dismantled and materials sold leaving only the outer courtyard, the north and west wings.
