We had the honour and pleasure of capturing Rahul & Sakshi’s delightful Ritz Hotel wedding in London.

We shot weddings at some of London’s most iconic wedding venues such as The Shard, The Dorchester and Banking Hall to name a few. This was our first Ritz Hotel wedding and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It may have been the first day the first day of reopening after lockdown but as expected the service was impeccable.

Tea for two anyone?

The Ritz London is a Grade II listed 5-star hotel set in the heart of London. Most certainly a symbol of luxury, the hotel is one of the world’s most prestigious and best-known hotels.

The hotel was opened by Swiss hotelier César Ritz in May 1906, just eight years after the Ritz Paris was built.

The Ellerman Group of Companies purchased the hotel for £80 million in October 1995. They spent £40 million and eight years restoring it to its former glory. It became the first hotel to receive a Royal warrant in 2002 from the Prince of Wales for its banquet and catering services. It was bought by a Qatari investor in March 2020.

The exterior is in a Franco-American style and is heavily influenced by Paris architecture.

Having a Ritz Hotel wedding video is certainly a statement of style and elegance. It has 111 rooms and 25 suites for your guests plus The Ritz Club, a casino in the basement of the hotel which occupies the space formerly the Ritz Bar and Grill.

The interior has a Louis XVI style, stunning high ceilings and grand chandeliers.

The Palm Court is host to the world-famous “Tea at the Ritz”. It is an opulently decorated Louis XVI setting with timeless panelled mirrors with gilt bronze frames. The hotel has six private dining rooms including the Marie Antoinette Suite. The Rivoli Bar, has been built in Art Deco style and was designed to resemble the bar on the Orient Express by Tessa Kennedy.
